Naomie Harris joins The Rock in videogame adaptation Rampage

I just talked about videogame movies yesterday, and now here we are, another one on the way. This one stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as someone battling three giant monsters (a Godzilla-like lizard, a King Kong-like ape, and a...werewolf) from destroying cities. It's based off the arcade game RAMPAGE, although in that game you played the monsters and not some (relatively) puny human.

Well, we can add Naomie Harris to that cast, hot off her (well-deserved) Oscar nod for MOONLIGHT. No details as to who her character might be however. In the games, when you were defeated, you shrunk down into a human, and Lizzy (the lizard monster) was indeed female. Though previous comments from director Brad Peyton seem to indicate these will instead be experimented on animals rather than humans, so who knows. She might just be an attractive scientist/love interest who wears glasses so you know she's smart. We'll see.

Either way, RAMPAGE is set to unleash the beasts April 20th, 2018.

Extra Tidbit: RAMPAGE had a lot of sequels, and they ran out of things to destroy, so they went from American cities, to cities around the world, to cities in space, then finally cities all around different points in history.
