Nathan Fillion stars as Nathan Drake for a live-action Uncharted fan film

You might want to cover your ears, because fans of the UNCHARTED video game series are about to freak out. Are you ready? Earlier this morning, Nathan Fillion tweeted a 15-minute live-action fan film in which he plays Nathan Drake, the protagonist of the PlayStation video game franchise! I know, awesome right? It's like someone heard all of our nerd prayers and said, "Hey, let's make some dreams come true!"

You can watch the short for yourself below:

Billed as a fan production, the live-action shorts ticks all the boxes of what a film starring Fillion as the wise-cracking treasure hunter could be. Oh, and I did I mention that Stephen Lang also stars as Nathan's trusted friend, Victor "Sully" Sullivan? That's right, this unexpected treat just keeps getting better.

Alongside the post of the short film, Fillion expressed his thanks for being asked to participate in the project by saying:

The short is directed and co-written by Allan Ungar and Jesse Wheeler. Nathan Fillion, Allan Ungar, Bruno Marino, Jesse Wheeler and Louis Sallerson produced the film which features music by Aaron Gilhuis and Jacob Shea. Meanwhile, a film based on the UNCHARTED video game property is still in the works with SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING star Tom Holland set to play Nathan Drake and Bryan Cranston rumored to be joining the cast. One would assume that he'll play Sully in the film, though he could always be cast as a villain. We'll have to wait and see. The upcoming film directed by Shawn Levy has yet to secure a release date.
