Even before I saw TERMINATOR SALVATION I wanted to believe in McG. I was a fan of the series and I wanted it to succeed. After it’s unbelievable failure, I’ve lost all faith in the man with the silly name, and thus am not surprised to learn that his next project 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA: CAPTAIN NEMO is in need of a rewrite. BRAVEHEART scribe Randall Wallace has been hired to rework the film, and is trying to get as much done before he must direct his own film, the racehorse drama SECRETARIAT, which begins filming in September. McG has publicly stated that he would love to cast Will Smith as Nemo but this being the film’s third rewrite to date, that somehow seems unlikely. Maybe Paul Walker’s available?
