Netflix is not Horsin' Around as they grant BoJack Horseman a fifth season

Oh fish! It hasn't even been two whole weeks since season four of the Netflix original animated series BOJACK HORSEMAN hit the popular streamer, and already we've gotten word that the show has been granted a fifth season renewal!

Netflix made the announcement by tweeting to BoJack himself:

For those of you who've yet to watch the dark animated comedy, BOJACK HORSEMAN stars Will Arnett as the voice of BoJack, a legendary but failed '90s sitcom star from the favorite family sitcom Horsin' Around, who has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whisky and failed relationships. Now, in the presence of his human sidekick Todd (Aaron Paul) and his feline agent and ex-paramour Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris), BoJack is primed for his comeback.

The most recent season of BOJACK HORSEMAN finds the program's self-loathing lead exorcising the demons of his childhood past when both his estranged daughter and dementia-ridden mother come to live with him. As BoJack struggles to take back control of his ceaseless mockery of an existence, his friends Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins), Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris), Diane Nguyen (Alison Brie) and Todd Chavez (Aaron Paul) each face their own downward spiral of life events gone terribly wrong.

BOJACK HORSEMAN was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg.  The series is executive produced by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Steven A. Cohen and Noel Bright.  Will Arnett (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE) and Aaron Paul (BREAKING BAD) also serve as executive producers. BoJack was designed by graphic artist Lisa Hanawalt and animated by LA-based ShadowMachine. The show is a Tornante Production, brought to life by Michael Eisner's The Tornante Company.

As Todd would say, "Hooray!" Just this morning, I was sitting down to a big plate of pancakes and bacon while taking in the fourth season of the show, which is still as twisted and biting as ever! Personally, I delight in the way this program sticks it to Hollywood stereotypes, and the watercolor-like art presentation serves as a nice departure from just about everything you'll find on Adult Swim. I'm totally on board for a fifth season of the show, and I'm certain that BOJACK HORSEMAN fans the world over are as well. Bring it on, Netflix!

Season Four of BOJACK HORSEMAN launched globally on Netflix on September 8, 2017.

Extra Tidbit: One thing you'll never hear me say about there being more BoJack Horseman is "That's too much, man!"
