Netflix’s 1980s women’s wrestling show G.L.O.W. releases new images

So WWE's recent WrestleMania 2017 just happened, being memorable really only for John Cena's proposal, Undertaker's retirement, and Brock Lesnar fighting Goldberg (a former WCW champion). But there was a time (like when the WCW existed) that WWE wasn't the only wrestling name in town. In fact, back in the '80s there was an all-women's wrestling league called G.L.O.W (which stood for Glorious Ladies of Wrestling).

There's even going to be a show about the behind-the-scenes of G.L.O.W. premiering on Netflix, which will star Alison Brie (COMMUNITY). Now we have gotten some images to give us a taste of how it's going to turn out:

Well, it definitely seems to evoke the time period (especially Brie's hair). And I'm intrigued by the story, so I'll definitely be checking this one out. And who could say no to Alison Brie in leotards? I mean, I guess there are people who could. But still. I'm down.

Meanwhile, G.L.O.W. will premiere on Netflix June 23rd, 2017.
