New It Comes at Night trailer is fueled by paranoia, love, pain & evil

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

There’s more to a good horror movie than blood, goo, puppets, creepy kids, creepy nuns, and creepy school girls. The new trailer for IT COMES AT NIGHT reminds you that emotions, such as paranoia and love, can elicit just as much terror as any monstrous creature. Though there is something bumping in the night in this film, what’s going on inside these characters is far more terrifying.

Not a ton of footage to go here, but I’m all for an intimate, horrific experience that relies on characters and mood instead of cheap effects. Each new piece of material for COMES AT NIGHT really drives home that that’s what we can expect from the movie, making it one of my top to see for the summer. Does that make me a masochist? Probably.

IT COMES AT NIGHT with Joel Edgerton, Riley Keough comes June 9.
