New John Wick 3 clip finds Wick saying goodbye to his four-legged friend

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) has taken on the world of assassins and is now on the run from seemingly every paid killer in the world come JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM. The carnage has gotten so intense that we forget all this trouble started when some thugs killed Wick’s puppy, sending him down a warpath. Now as he approaches what could be his final fight he doesn’t want to lose another dog, so in this new clip for the movie he makes sure to get his four-legged friend someplace safe.

At the end of the first movie, Wick got himself a new dog, and in the second he makes sure to keep him out of the way by handing him off to the concierge at the Continental hotel, Charon (Lance Reddick), so he would be safe. Now he’s going to do the same in this new movie, but it feels much more heartfelt this time, as Wick perhaps thinks this could be the last time he sees his pal. Sure, it’s not a clip filled with slick action like you may have wanted, but it’s a rather sweet moment in a movie that may not have a ton of those to spare.

The movie also stars a series of folks who want to either kill or help Wick, with the cast including Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos, Jason Mantzoukas and Anjelica Huston.

 John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
