We’ve heard surprisingly little from screenwriting wunderkind Zach Helm’s feature directorial debut, the fantasy dramedy MR. MAGORIUM’S WONDER EMPORIUM, but then again it’s not a sequel, remake or animated CG film featuring penguins, so it’s understandably below everyone’s radar. In it, Dustin Hoffman stars as the titular eccentric owner of the titular magical toy shop who bequeaths his fantastical store to his meek, young manager (Natalie Portman), at which point strangeness sprinkled with a healthy dose of hilarity ensue.
