New promo poster for The Walking Dead season 4 teases big changes

SPOILER TERRITORY!

For those that are all caught up on AMC’s The Walking Dead then you know that some major story changes will be taking place in the second half of season 4. After the final confrontation with The Governor (David Morrissey), Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his son, Carl (Chandler Riggs) are on their own, but it’s unclear just where they’ll be going. Now, AMC has released a new promo poster for the mid-season return, which further pushes the idea that big changes are afoot for the father-son duo, blaring the tagline “Don’t Look Back.” Fans of the comics will be well-versed in the events that transpire after the prison showdown, but that may not mean much given the deviations from the source material that the show has taken.

Don’t Look Back!:

Personally, I’m ready to see these characters move on from the prison. After all, the characters and the story are not tied to one specific location and having them move from place to place has been part of the allure of their challenges. Going off the comics, there’s A LOT of characters and locations we’ve yet to encounter and I’d like to see them progress to that. Although details are scarce and just what direction they’re headed, it’s a safe bet that we won’t be going behind bars again.

The Walking Dead returns on February 9th, 2014.
