New Star Trek Beyond image teases a pair of mystery cameos

The latest adventures of James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise is nearly upon us, but we still haven't heard all that much about the upcoming STAR TREK BEYOND, at least compared to other blockbusters. The Justin Lin directed flick will find Kirk and company attacked by an unstoppable group of mysterious aliens, which leaves the Enterprise crew marooned on a new planet where they find themselves in conflict with a new enemy. To celebrate First Contact Day, Justin Lin posted a new behind-the-scenes photo from STAR TREK BEYOND, but with a twist; the photo features Lin flanked by two interesting looking aliens played by actors whose identities are being kept secret.

Justin Lin is challenging us to figure out who these two actors are, any ideas?

Justin Lin offered up a hint, and an incentive, if you'd care to guess the identities of these two actors. Lin said that he's worked with both of these actors before STAR TREK BEYOND, that they're not listed on STAR TREK BEYOND's IMDb page, and that they're two of his most favourite people to work with. If you think you know who these actors are you should leave your answer in the comments here, because if you're the first one to guess the names correctly, you could win an official STAR TREK BEYOND crew t-shirt and a signed STAR TREK BEYOND poster. Justin Lin added that the prize likely won't be sent off until closer to the release date as the crew shirt contains spoilers for the film and the poster hasn't been finalized yet.

STAR TREK BEYOND is set for a July 22, 2016 release.
