Batman and Bane to make debuts in Gotham Series Finale

GOTHAM dropped a whole bag of goodies into the laps of eager fans today at New York Comic Con, revealing a slew of villains to pop up in the series finale of the show – not to mention The Bat himself. That’s right, Batman will finally be flying into the darkened streets of Gotham in the upcoming fifth season, which will also serve as the series finale to the show.

Along with Batman, another exciting addition to the show will appear: the long awaited debut of Bane is set to occur in season five. Played by Shane West, it will be interesting to see how GOTHAM chooses to portray the infamous villain, especially given the popularity of Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

Bane’s not the only baddie who will be going up against the caped crusader – fan favorite Magpie will also be attempting to de-throne the Dark Knight, along with the return of fellow hoodlums Scarecrow, Hugo Strange, Zsasz, and Mad Hatter.

The panel today also shed light on a few iconic moments to occur in season five, such as Bane breaking Alfred’s back, and Bruce Wayne having his first real life encounter with a large swarm of bats.

The premiere date of season five has yet to be announced, but we'll be your on hand Bat-Signal when the time comes.
