Olivia Munn gets her first starring role in Broken Lizard flick

For as many people there are who love Olivia Munn, there are just as many people who really don’t like Olivia Munn. But like her or love her, she’s just not going away. After her horrible NBC sitcom, “Perfect Couples,” was mercifully cancelled after one season, she’s just signed on for her first lead role in a film.

Munn will co-star with Paul Schneider (once of the great “Parks and Recreation”) in THE BABY MAKER from the Broken Lizard comedy troupe. The two will star as a couple who have difficulty conceiving a child and concoct a scheme to rob a sperm bank.

Jay Chandrasekhar will direct the film and will star along with Lizard members Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske and Kevin Heffernan. The film will be Munn’s third teaming with the BROKEN LIZARD crew after a brief appearance in THE SLAMMIN SALMON and the upcoming FREELOADERS, which has yet to be released.

The indie comedy will begin filming later this summer after Munn wraps work on the HBO pilot from Aaron Sorkin (yes, she’s getting yet another chance at a TV series).
