Normally the Oscar publicity machine just wears me down to the point where I almost don’t care about some of the movies anymore. Like I’m just so sick of hearing about it that I forget why I liked it in the first place. But one thing I do love is when they get a handful of great actors, throw them in a room and let them have at each other. That’s what happened recently when Newsweek corralled Brad Pitt, Robert Downey, Jr., Mickey Rourke, Anne Hathaway, Frank Langella and Sally Hawkins for a chat. It’s worth reading just for Downey who reveals Guy Ritchie called him a “c*nt” during a screaming match on the set of SHERLOCK HOLMES (and BTW is the only celebrity with enough balls to admit that he Googles himself). And if that’s not enough for the fanboys out there, Downey also has a hilarious story about the premiere of IRON MAN in Japan and at the end he begs Rourke to please co-star in IRON MAN 2 with him. To which Rourke replies, “Absolutely brother.” You can read the article here at Newsweek.com.
