Party: Captivity

After Dark’s CEO
Courtney Solomon sure knows
how to throw a party. Take a
ritzy club in West Hollywood California that they call Privilege and
throw in a few beautiful people, including a few dressed to the
nines in Goth fashion and dress it up with rooms of torture cages
and pig carcasses. That is
what we got at the premiere party for CAPTIVITY starring Elisha
Cuthbert. Speaking of, where
the hell was Elisha? I
didn’t see her, she was on the guest list, her name is on the
poster, but she didn’t grace the “red carpet”.

Yet fun was to be
had without Ms. Cuthbert, and when I say fun, I mean the Suicide
Girls. You know them, you
love them, and if you don’t know what the hell I’m talking
about, check out www.suicidegirls.com
and you’ll get it. They are
lovely ladies who didn’t need to dress up.
Ready to rumble with whips and other weapons of tease, they
made their way through the party and strutted their stuff.
Without the dozen or so girls, I don’t know if I would have
stayed past fifteen minutes. But
they kept it lively, not only by looking lovely, but just be
charming as hell to boot. And
they took all my attention from a few UFC Ultimate Fighting dudes
that may have at one point rocked the house, but I didn’t notice.

Other than that we
had more Suicide Girls… I’m sorry… what was I talking about?
Oh, yeah, there were a few others who showed up for the free
booze. I heard Ryan Gosling
was there, I think I saw him wandering around.
Dave Navarro was there hosting the event, but the only thing
I saw him do was stand around looking pissed and having a cigarette.
I think he was having a bad night, but he was kind enough to
say ‘hello’. I also got a
chance to catch up with a couple of actors from the movie in
question. Daniel Gillies and
Laz Alonso were both very nice, and even did the red carpet walk to
say ‘hi’ to all us press folk. I
also got to talk to a lovely lady by the name of Lorielle New who is
working with Uwe Boll, the critic boxing director, in his new film
POSTAL.

All in all, it was
a fun night and Mr. Solomon sir, you do put on a helluva show thanks
to some lovely ladies with tattoos and piercings.
