Power Rangers releases fun new trailer

I was never a fan of POWER RANGERS as a kid, but I can't help but be excited about the new film. Call it cultural osmosis, but everytime I see a new poster, image, or trailer, it brings me back to my childhood. While I never really saw the show or have the toys, all my friends did, and I remember vividly the vicious arguments that'd break out about who got to play as Tommy, while I got to sit back and play as the Pink Ranger unimpeded, because arrows are the best weapon and her Zord was by far the best because it could fly. My friends didn't see it that way, but that was because they lacked vision.

Anyway, there's a new trailer out, so let's take a look:

While not a ton of new footage, this trailer seems to be the most fun of the three, with very little of the grimdark CHRONICLE tone the other two trailers had. I'm sure teen angst will still be a major part of the film (which bothers me a lot less than it does other people), but I'm glad that the film will indeed also be fun and joke-filled, and that the ratio seems like it will be more balanced than I think most people feared. We still have to wait 'til the film actually comes out to know for sure, but I have hope.

So what do you Schmoes think? And who did you play as when you were a kid? Sound off below!

Either way, POWER RANGERS will "GO, GO" into theater March 24th, 2017.

Extra Tidbit: The first POWER RANGERS feature film was released 11 years ago in 1995.
