Preacher is definitely happening at AMC

AMC isn't praying on whether they should pick PREACHER up to series. They have found a great deal of clarity on the matter.

Seth Rogen has taken to Twitter to announce that PREACHER at AMC is a go, although details such as release date remain a mystery. (Early speculation points perhaps to a May run next year.) Dominic Cooper will star in the adapation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s 90s cult comic about Jesse Custer who… well, let's face it. If you read the books you already know, and, if you didn't do you want to know too much when you're this close to seeing for yourself? Hmmm… quite the quandary I face here.

Anyway, Rogen and Evan Goldberg developed this project into its series form, with Goldberg stepping behind the camera to direct the pilot. In fact, they've been at PREACHER for a number of years with little luck, but finally their prayers have been answered. (Two prayer jokes in one article? I'm on a roll.)

Sam Catlin of BREAKING BAD fame wrote the pilot and will operate as showrunner for the series, and now you just have to sit and wait for AMC to set their dates in place. You know the show is coming, and, as we all know, knowing is half the battle. The other half is the waiting, which Tom Petty says is the hardest part… so be patient. That's all you've really got left to do.
