RIP Patrick Swayze

Bodhi has surfed his last wave, and Dalton has cooled his final brawl.

Patrick Swayze has died, losing his struggle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

The amiable, legendarily handsome actor started out with strong work in the classic THE OUTSIDERS, and roles in RED DAWN, UNCOMMON VALOR and YOUNGBLOOD.

While his subsequent career had some ups and downs, those peaks will be seen forever — DIRTY DANCING. GHOST. ROAD HOUSE. POINT BREAK.

Swayze worked and fought as long as possible, starring as an undercover FBI agent in this year’s gritty A&E series “The Beast”.

He gave us a memorable “Saturday Night Live” appearance, ridiculous abdominals, a top 10 hit single, an opportunity to see him in drag, plenty of smiles, a year as People’s “Sexiest Man Alive”, a truckload of quotable dialogue, and a whole lot more.

Farewell to The Swayze.
