Robert Rodriguez's The Director's Chair features Tarantino, del Toro & more

Robert Rodriguez is a man who has so many ideas and ambitions that generally we don't find him directing projects like he used to. That's the sacrifice of an uber-producer. He more recently launched the El Rey Network which is currently home to the From Dusk Till Dawn series as well as Matador. Another program that's being launched is The Director's Chair which features Robert Rodriguez interviewing various directors. The first episode featured master John Carpenter, while episode 2 rolled with Guillermo del Toro. The newest episode (airing next Wednesday) will have Quentin Tarantino on-board, and El Rey released a promo video showcasing what the show's about.

Take a look:

While I've yet to check the show out myself, I'd love to give it a look. There's a danger of alienating your audience when you have two directors talking about themselves, but this looks interesting enough. For those who want to catch Tarantino in the chair, Volume 1 will air August 13th while Vol. 2 will air on August 27th. For those of you who miss Rodriguez's theatrical output, we have SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR coming later this month. My only hope is that the El Rey Network doesn't keep him from helping to bring the rest of Frank Miller's stories to the silver screen.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR hits theaters on August 22, 2014.
