Rogue calls Couriers

Rogue (Universal’s genre-focused subdivision, not the mutant hottie) and Intrepid Pictures took a recent trip to the comic shop, and walked out with a new movie project.

Rogue is planning to adapt COURIERS, a graphic novel series from publisher AiT/PlanetLar. The fast-paced (if somewhat slight) stories follow the adventures of New York “mercenary couriers” Moustafa and Special, who’ll undertake treacherous tasks involving protection, surveillance, and shooting people with various caliber firearms, assuming the price is right.

Writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach is handling on the adaptation, and he’s a guy who knows a few things about comics — his own book THE MIDDLE MAN is a genuinely fun series about an average girl inducted into a secret agency. Plus Grillo-Marxauch probably picked up some valuable skills while working on TV’s hit show LOST.
