Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool poses with Negasonic Teenage Warhead

Those of you who know your X-Men mutants will be familiar with the precognitive Negasonic Teenage Warhead. In the comics, she was a student of Emma Frost (who appeared in both X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE and X-MEN: FIRST CLASS). Who knows if they'll keep any of that back story for DEADPOOL, but Ryan Reynolds was goodly enough to give us the first picture of actress Brianna Hildebrand looking all Negasonic-y alongside a curious Deadpool.

I'm preaching to the choir here, but Ryan Reynolds feels so right for DEADPOOL that it's not even funny. I'm really hoping the the end product delivers, and that folks actually show up to see this R-rated affair. The character is so tongue-in-cheek that it'll be great just to see him interact with everyone else.

Furthermore, in case you needed any more proof that Ryan Reynolds is simply THE MAN, he was the victim of a hit-and-run in a hotel parking lot yesterday. The person driving was some dickhead paparazzi who fled the scene. As for Reynolds? No injury. I'm glad to hear that he's okay, and perhaps this is a sign that there is just no stopping this DEADPOOL movie. About damn time!

DEADPOOL, barring any more hit-and-runs, will land in theaters on February 12, 2016.
