Saddle up for adventure with the new My Little Pony: The Movie trailer

The time has finally come for Hasbro's beautifully animated and smartly written MY LITTLE PONY franchise to make its return to the big screen with MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE. In the film, ponies Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity must band together in an effort to rid themselves of a grave threat to Ponyville. Together, the ponies will be forced to harness their know-how, and rely on the power of friendship to embark on a journey beyond their home kingdom of Equestria, while meeting new friends and overcoming challenges in the process.

Featuring a star-studded voice acting cast with celebrities such as Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain, Cathy Weseluck, Emily Blunt, Kristin Chenoweth, Liev Schreiber, Michael Pena, Sia, Taye Diggs, Uzo Aduba, and Zoe Saldana all coming aboard the toys-to-big-screen theatrical adventure, MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE promises to delight audiences with its whip-smart humor, cleverly disguised social commentary, and insistence that only when we stand together as one can we defeat evil.

MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE is scheduled to prance its way into theaters on October 6th, 2017

Extra Tidbit: No, I am not a Brony. That being said, I do have a deep and abiding respect for the MY LITTLE PONY franchise. Since its inception, it's my opinion that the new series has featured some of the best writing in kids entertainment, today. There's even an episode that pays direct homage to THE BIG LEBOWSKI, not to mention other adult-oriented properties like PULP FICTION, MAD MAX, and ALICE IN WONDERLAND.
