Near as I can tell, last night’s MTV Movie Awards were a complete bore. Normally, despite the constant TWILIGHT wins, there’s some humor to be had at the awards but this year it just seemed stale. Not surprisingly, the standouts for me were the new clips we saw from SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD and HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS.
First up is a clip from SCOTT PILGRIM introduced by the always dapper Edgar Wright. It’s the beginning of the battle between Scott and the 2nd evil ex-boyfriend of Ramona Flowers, Lucas Lee. Lucas is an A-list movie star who happens to be filming in Scott’s hometown of Toronto. So Scott shows up to have a little chat and kick some ass:
Next is the teaser trailer for the final films in the HARRY POTTER series. This supposedly contains footage from both PARTS 1 and 2 of DEATHLY HALLOWS. No word yet on when this will be in theaters or what it will be attached to. For now, check it out below!
