Everyone has their own opinion of massive multiplayer online role-playing games, or MMORPG’s for those who aren’t savvy with gaming acronyms.

Most of us know someone who is obsessed with online role-playing games. With over 50 million people playing online, it’s hard to deny the success of games like “World of Warcraft” and “The Sims”.

Just like the trailer says, it’s easy to get lost in these worlds where you can escape and be something more than what you are. There’s the element of fantasy that pulls people in, and the fact that it’s not as easy to trust your kids to run around the block to play outside. The internet has made a seemingly “safe” community for people to be accepted in, or so they think.

SECOND SKIN is a documentary from Juan Carlos Pineiro-Escoriaza that reveals the inside world of online gaming, and makes it interesting to see how addicted people can get.
