Silent Hill 3D sequel gets some humans to scare

Grab your flashlight, because the misty creeping dread and the terror of Pyramid Head are returning to screens with a new SILENT HILL movie.

The 3D sequel SILENT HILL: REVELATIONS is another adaptation of Konami’s popular and unnerving video game series, following the events of the 2006 horror movie from director Christophe Gans.

While Radha Mitchell apparently won’t be returning, the movie will star Aussie actress Adelaide Clemens (above), perhaps best known to American audiences from her brief appearance as the cute girl who checks out Dominic Monaghan’s incredibly lame light-bulb trick in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. She’ll also be seen (eventually) in George Miller’s constantly delayed pseudo-sequel MAD MAX: FURY ROAD.

The movie also stars Kit Harington (HBO’s upcoming series “Game of Thrones”) and is currently in production in Toronto with Michael J. Bassett (SOLOMON KANE) directing. Bloody-Disgusting claims that Sean Bean may also return in some capacity (and if he’s up for a DVD sequel to DEATH RACE, why not?).

The synopsis: “For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.”
