Since we almost forgot about them, Tarsem’s Snow White movie will also have seven dwarfs

In the commotion over the dueling SNOW WHITE movies’ release date jockeying and gathering of attractive talent, we nearly overlooked the fact that there’s barely been any mention of Snow’s seven diminutive and (theoretically) platonic housemates.

But Relativity’s version of the Grimm fairy tale will definitely have the septet of tuneful workers known by their single personality traits. The studio has rounded up little people Mark Povinelli (WATER FOR ELEPHANTS), Jordan Prentice (HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE), Danny Woodburn (WATCHMEN), Sebastian Saraceno (BEDTIME STORIES), Ronald Lee Clark (EPIC MOVIE), Martin Klebba (HANCOCK) and Joey Gnoffo (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN) to play their Seven Dwarfs.

The project, directed by Tarsem Singh (THE CELL, THE FALL), has also added Mare Winningham as Baker Margaret and Michael Lerner as Baron, joining stars Armie Hammer (THE SOCIAL NETWORK) as the Prince, Lily Collins (daughter of Phil) as Snow White, Julia Roberts as the evil Queen, and Nathan Lane as her servant. The movie recently shifted release to beat the competing SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN.

They describe this version as “a spectacular reimagining of the classic fairy tale, an evil queen steals control of a kingdom, and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.
