Spoilery Solo: A Star Wars Story Millennium Falcon LEGO Set unveiled

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As another chapter of George Lucas' interstellar saga approaches, so does another series of Star Wars LEGO sets! In the past, the family-friendly build-a-brick company has manufactured seven versions of Han Solo's iconic Millennium Falcon, and now, in honor of the release of SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY, an eighth iteration of the ship (and much more) is scheduled to hit toy store shelves in April!

First up for release is the Kessel Run Millennium Falcon set. Priced at $169.99 and containing an impressive piece count of 1,414, the new set also includes minifigurines of a young Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Qi'ra, a Kessel droid … and two yet-to-be-revealed characters that are being kept frozen in carbonite at this time.

The official description for the Kessel Run Millennium Falcon set reads:

Outsmart the villainous overseers and escape the Kessel Mines aboard the amazing Millennium Falcon! Pull amazing maneuvers from the cockpit. Jump in the laser turrets and fire back at pursuing craft. Then check the hyperdrive and get ready to jump to safety! After all that excitement, kick back with Han and his friends with a drink from the bar, while you let Chewbacca win at Dejarik. Then it’s off to bed for a well-earned snooze in the bunk aboard the fastest ship in the galaxy!

As you can see from the images posted below, the new Falcon is rockin' a fresh paint job with royal blue accents in addition to a solid, streamlined nose shape.

As for the film upon which the LEGO sets are based, SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Solo aims to take fans on an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover), in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

Welp, it looks as if I'll be taking a ride to Toys R Us, or ordering this bad boy online, because I've gots to have it! I'm actually in the process of building the Quake Mech from LEGO NINJAGO right now, and the nostalgic vibes its giving me have been amazing. Star Wars fans will no doubt be looking forward to owning their own Kessel Run Millennium Falcon, as well as any other LEGO sets associated with the new film as they're announced.

STAR WARS: A SOLO STORY will arrive in theaters on May 25th while the new LEGO sets will make their debut beginning in April
