Sturgess & Dunst down

There should be more sci-fi movies made, well, good ones. But if it stars Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst, is it still good?

To answer my own question, sure. I haven’t been a huge fan of Dunst in awhile but she can turn that around. As far as Sturgess, he’s still got potential. The movie they were just cast in, UPSIDE DOWN is something rather bizarre.

The film comes from newcomer Juan Diego Solanas who is writing and directing. As I said before the film sounds bizarre, here’s the plot:

‘Look up towards the sky and rub your eyes because you won’t believe what you see: cities, forests, and oceans with their own inverted gravity, only an arm’s length away, yet completely unreachable. Take a leap over to this alternate reality, two worlds – one above, one below, facing each other, and you land in the extraordinary world of Upside Down.’

The character Sturgess will be playing, Adam, still holds on to the memory of a girl (Dunst) he met in met in another world. This world also has it’s own issues with gravity, as well as being out of reach. Obviously, this doesn’t stop him and he goes after her no matter what.

It might sound a little hokey, but I think it has some real potential. Then again, I am a woman who is a sucker for a love story.
