Sylvester Stallone shreds his face in new Halloween video

Just in case the dozens of people at your office dressed like Joaquin Phoenix's Joker or sporting sexy Thanos costumes didn't alert you, today is Halloween. Celebrities are not immune to the candy laced holiday which has its roots in the Gaelic festival of Samhain. While some find Halloween a tedious and annoying time of the year best left for kids, Academy Award nominated actor Sylvester Stallone is not one of them. The Italian Stallion took to Twitter to express his love of the holiday and his choice of outfit is certainly, ahem, appealing:

Wow. The ROCKY and RAMBO film star looks like he's gone an extra fifteen rounds with Ivan Drago. Or taken the bad end of a Simon Phoenix knife. Or been round house kicked by The Night Slasher. Or…well you get the idea.

Honestly, it's nice to see celebrities not take themselves too seriously. I hate to pull the whole, "Hey actors are just like us!" line but I think in Stallone's case it's true. The guy came from very humble beginnings, fought a speech impediment and constant rejection, and somehow went on to become one of the biggest action stars in the history of cinema. He's also a damn fine actor in my opinion. Although I have to admit his comment about his torn flesh morphing into a meal almost made me barf.

Sylvester Stallone is currently gearing up for his next starring role in Julius Avery's SAMARITAN and his latest turn as Vietnam War vet John Rambo, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD, shoots its way onto digital release December 3 and 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD December 17. Hey just in time for Christmas. Combine that with a grenade and you've got two great stocking stuffers!
