HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE marks the 4th feature film from writer/director Taika Waititi. You may remember him from his work on WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS. Now he brings his comic sensibilities to a story about a rebellious kid and his foster uncle (Sam Neill) who go missing in the wild New Zealand bush prompting a national manhunt. WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS was a lot of fun, so I'm immediately keen on checking out Waititi's upcoming work. If our review from Sundance is any indication (you can check it out here), this film will prove to be Waititi's best work to date! Just keep in mind, this is the guy who's directing the next THOR movie!
HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE will see a domestic release later this year.
