Teaser gives first look at John Krasinski as titular Jack Ryan

So the JACK RYAN franchise has been rebooted more times than CHARLIE'S ANGELS and BATMAN combined, and seemingly to diminishing returns. Not saying there haven't been really good films in RYAN's oeuvre (especially the first three - the one with Alec Baldwin and the two with Harrison Ford), but the last two (with Ben Affleck and Chris Pine) weren't as good. And after the financial disappointment of JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT, the character went dormant.

But now he's back, now in TV form, starring John Krasinski in the titular role. And in the above teaser, we get the first look at him in action. Also, here's the official synopsis:

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan follows an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. The series follows Ryan as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.

I just hope it goes long enough to see him get elected President like in the novels. Because that's when shit gets real crazy. *Fingers crossed*.

Meanwhile, JACK RYAN will appear on Amazon Prime 2018.

Extra Tidbit: You know, I love Chris Evans as Captain America, but I actually think John Krasinski would've done fine.
