The Amazing Spider-Man TV Series (1977) – Gone But Not Forgotten

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As far as live-action superheroes go, fans today don't know how good they've got it. In the seventies, big-screen superheroes were MIA. Things were a bit better on the small screen, with shows like Wonder Woman and The Incredible Hulk doing well in the ratings. This led to the creation of this week's Gone But Not Forgotten subject, The Amazing Spider-Man. A decidedly low-tech take on the Marvel superhero, this short-lived series starred the likable Nicholas Hammond (The Sound of Music and recently Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time in Hollywood) as Peter Parker, aka The Amazing Spider-Man. Join us as we examine this campy but often endearing show.
