The Boys Season 2 trailer boasts more blood, ultra-violence, and debauchery

Good news, everyone! THE BOYS are back in town! Amazon has unleashed the first trailer for THE BOYS Season 2, which brings Karl Urban's Billy Butcher back to the seedy and violent underbelly of the superhero world. As the trailer continues to spray blood across your screen, we find that Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Antony Starr, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capon, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, and Jessie T. Usher have all returned to play their respective roles in Amazon's rude, crude, and gore-happy superhero series.

The Boys, Season 2, Amazon Prime, superhero

THE BOYS takes place in an America where the planet's superheroes have been morally corrupted by their celebrity status and often take advantage of their powers in reckless displays of behavior which threaten the safety of the world. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) runs a group of vigilantes known as The Boys, who do what they can to keep watch over the superheroes, and, if need be, eliminate them.

In the trailer, we find Homelander descending from the sky, spattered with blood and wearing a rather wistful expression on his chiseled face. Shortly thereafter, the trailer cranks into overdrive with a montage of scenes from the upcoming season. If you're fast enough, you'll find that A Train is still alive after suffering a heart attack during his clash with Starlight toward the end of the first season. As the footage jumps from scene-to-scene, we find The Deep continuing to act like a buffoon after being banished to the outskirts of "Bumblefuck." After catching a glimpse of Starlight smiling for the cameras, the trailer treats us to a series of savage scenes that tease an even nastier season than the last.

While the trailer offers plenty of action, it fails to introduce any of the show's new characters who're set to arrive with the coming season. I'm of course talking about Aya Cash's Stormfront, Claudia Doumit's congressman Victoria Neuman, Goran Visnjic's secretive church leader Alistair Adana, and of course, Patton Oswalt's character, whose identity has yet to be revealed.

Well I'll be damned if THE BOYS Season 2 doesn't look like a bloody good time! Personally, I enjoyed the hell out of the first season and can't wait to see what manner of violence The Boys get up to next. Has this trailer got you pumped? Let us know in the comments section below.
