The Predator Holiday Special trailer features hilarious stop-motion carnage

Ho ho holy crap, do we have a treat for you! Fans of THE PREDATOR are getting an early Christmas gift from 20th Century Fox this year, as we now have our first look at the stop-motion animated Holiday Special featuring the iconic alien killer himself, the Predator. For the upcoming Holiday Special, which is set to air in its entirety on December 19th via Comedy Central during BOJACK HORSEMAN at 10:30pm / 9:30 CT, the intergalactic dreadlocked trophy hunter will face off against the holy holiday's most beloved mascots, Santa and his reindeer. As you can see from the above teaser trailer, the Holiday Special is presented in stop-motion, giving the gross-out short an old school FROSTY THE SNOWMAN (1969), SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO WOTN (1970), and THE YEAR WITHOUT SANTA CLAUS (1974) kind of vibe.

Helmed by IRON MAN 3 director SHANE BLACK and based on a script co-written by Black with Fred Dekker (THE MONSTER SQUAD, NIGHT OF THE CREEPS), THE PREDATOR continues the fan-favorite sci-fi action franchise by telling the story of when a young boy accidentally triggers the universe's most lethal hunters' return to Earth and only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled scientist can prevent the end of the human race. Starring Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Yvonne Strahovski, and Thomas Jane, THE PREDATOR is now available on Digital with 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD versions set for release on Tuesday, December 18th.

Be sure to catch the entire special on December 19th via Comedy Central during BOJACK HORSEMAN at 10:30pm / 9:30 CT. Additionally, how much of a fight do you think Old St. Nick and his eight tiny reindeer will put up against the alien menace? Will Santa bust out his patented Snowball Shotgun 2000? Will Rudolph's nose burst into flame, providing the shunned sleigh driver with a facial flamethrower unlike the world has ever seen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
