The Simpsons to spoof Coraline with Neil Gaiman contributing in voice role

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

When award-winning writer and all-around literary genius Neil Gaiman returns to THE SIMPSONS, the curly mop-headed author will lend his voice to a character that has never spoken before: Snowball V. Gaiman teased the spot when he tweeted "I am on the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror this year. I do not play myself this time. Instead I voice a character who has not spoken before," back in late September.

The wizwardly wordsmith will also be given the honor of having his original story CORALINE spoofed as a part of this year's annual Treehouse of Horror episode of the long-running animation. As you know, CORALINE was adapted into a terrifyingly good stop-motion animated film by Laika Studios back in 2009. For the episode, Marge will assume the role of Coraline’s mother and the Other Mother,. With Lisa as Coraline, the role of her cat companion will fall to Snowball V, with Gaiman providing the silent-until-now feline's voice.

Gaiman’s will contribute to the series as a part of the show’s 29th season, which is due for an October 1, 2017 premiere. Additionally, the “Treehouse of Horror XXVIII” episode will air on October 22nd. THE EXORCIST will also be a featured part of the new Halloween Special's lineup.
