The Wonder Woman creator biopic just lassoed itself a teaser trailer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Last week, we reported on an interactive teaser site for the upcoming WONDER WOMAN creator biopic PROFESSOR MARSTON AND THE WONDER WOMEN. Then, this past weekend, a selection of moviegoers who joined the Amazonian warrior princess for her inaugural solo outing were treated to a brief teaser for the upcoming superhero origin story that claims to be unlike any other. As directed by Angela Robinson, the in-depth biopic stars Luke Evans, Rebecca Hall, Bella Heathcote, Connie Britton and Oliver Platt in a cinematic deconstruction of DC Comic's feminist icon and bullet-deflecting badass, Diana Prince aka WONDER WOMAN.

You can check out the teaser below:

Having experienced the WONDER WOMAN film for myself this past weekend, I'm sorry to say that my theater neglected to run the teaser. Thankfully, our friend the internet is here to make sure that we all have the chance to check it out, and spread the good word of the biopic's eventual release. For those of you looking for a bit of insight into Wonder Woman's creator, here's an excerpt from the above mentioned article to get your started, and hopefully, interested:

Dr. William Moulton Marston, also known by his pen name Charles Moulton was an American psychologist, creator of the systolic blood pressure test (which later became a component of the modern polygraph or "lie detector test" invented by John Augustus Larson), and writer who created the character Wonder Woman. At the time of the Amazonian warrior princesses conception, Marston was inspired by his wife, Elizabeth Hollway Marston and alternative relationship live-in partner Olive Byrne when he birthed DC's most iconic female heroine out of his love for women and radical bondage fetishism. Wonder Woman was designed in the hope that the character would bring about a matriarchy that recognized abuse, modeling girl power, alternative gender relationships in regard to exploratory sexual practices, bondage play, and erotic mind manipulation and control.

More details regarding the release of PROFESSOR MARSTON AND THE WONDER WOMEN are expected to be revealed soon. In the meantime, be sure to gather your friends and batch of tickets to see WONDER WOMAN, which is in theaters now!
