I admit that though I had heard of the new Jon Hewitt (ACOLYTES) thriller X, I knew very little about it. Fortunately, the good gentleman at Twitch have been on top of it and were able to nab the exclusive trailer for the film.
X features Hewitt’s ACOLYTES star Hanna Mangan-Lawrence and Viva Bianca (“Spartacus: Blood and Sand”) as a couple of call girls caught in the dark and violent world of Sydney’s sex trade. The film currently has no release date, though IFC has picked it up for US distribution. It’s a good trailer, albeit somewhat racy due to the subject matter… so probably NSFW.
Synopsis: Holly Rowe’s retiring, kissing her callgirl life goodbye. She just has to get through her last night on the job. Shay Ryan’s a teenage runaway, broke and alone. She just has to get through her first night as a hooker. Then fate throws them together on a job that goes horribly wrong and they’re suddenly racing on an out-of-control roller coaster ride, through Sydney’s criminal underworld. X is a sizzling thriller about love, chance, escape and the oldest profession experienced by two women on a night that will change their lives forever.
