This Oz The Great and Powerful poster gives us our best look at The Wicked Witch of the West

For those of you well versed in the mythology of Oz, I am sure you already know who the Wicked Witch of the West really is. Judging from the trailer for OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, Disney is banking that not many are well versed. We only catch fleeting glimpses of the green skinned villain in the trailer and what we do see is shrouded in shadow.

Plot: Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz. At first he thinks he's hit the jackpot-fame and fortune are his for the taking. That all changes, however, when he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity-and even a bit of wizardry-Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

I won't ruin the surprise of who the Wicked Witch is, but a simple Google search would tell you right away. I highly doubt they would change such a key plot point and make the Witch someone else, so you can rest assured that once the movie is released, the actress playing the Witch will have a lot to say about such an iconic role.

In the meantime, this new international poster gives us an obscured look at the Wicked Witch. You can see her face, but under the prosthetics you still can't quite tell who it is. I will say the Witch does have one hell of a rack.

OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL opens on March 8, 2013.
