3 Explosive Posters For Edge of Tomorrow Starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt

Live. Die. Repeat. Those are the orders of the day in director Doug Liman’s actioner EDGE OF TOMORROW and we have three new posters for the upcoming movie below.

First, catch up with the synopsis:

The epic action of “Edge of Tomorrow” unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

I’m still a little sour that it’s no longer titled All You Need Is Kill after the acclaimed novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. Regardless, I’m sure Liman will have no trouble shaking the camera for this one like he did with THE BOURNE IDENTITY. The GROUNDHOG DAY style plot intrigues me; I don't even know what to expect when this baby hits theaters but I welcome it with open MechWarrior arms.

As a fan of Tom Cruise I can’t wait to see him deliver as always when he’s in an action role. If you’re not a fan of Cruise, you can look forward to seeing him explode over and over. We all win!

Opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on June 6, the sci-fi thriller stars Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Jeremy Piven, Ciaran Hinds, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, Masayoshi Haneda and Tony Way.
