Tickets for Solo: A Star Wars Story are officially on sale

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY will surely be one of the biggest movies of the summer given that it’s, well, Star Wars. As it goes for all the Star Wars movies tickets will likely sell like Hot Cakes, so you better get yours before everyone else. You can officially do so as tickets for the Han Solo origin story have officially gone on sale.

Tickets for the movie have gone on sale just time for May 4th, which has essentially become a Star Wars holiday. Fandango put out a press release today saying that along with the sale of tickets audience goers can purchase a special SOLO-themed gift card, and those who get advance tickets will also get an exclusive poster (below). Fandango also took a survey of 1,000 people to gauge audience anticipation, with the results looking like this:

91% have seen all of the “Star Wars” movies featuring Han Solo.

85% say that Solo is one of their favorite “Star Wars” characters.

73% are particularly excited to see Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.

Yesterday the early projections for the movie were put out with outlets saying the movie could open anywhere between $160-170 million during its four-day Memorial Day weekend. That’s not far off from the opening of ROGUE ONE ($155 million), a movie that stands as one of the best Fandango pre-sellers ever. Star Wars movies, in general, make up Fandango’s biggest sellers because like hell any self-respecting Star Wars fan is going to get their tickets on the day of….AND at the ticket counter. What foolishness!
