Vin Diesel gets a little emotional after seeing Guardians 2 clip

Either GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 is so good that it will elicit highly emotional, tear-jerking responses from anyone who watches it, or Vin Diesel is the greatest hype man ever. How do I know this? Because the man seems to be doing some deep soul searching during a live feed of his response after seeing a clip from the movie.

In the 12-minute video below, Diesel is at a loss for words when it comes to talking about what he just saw, but it leads to a great, spur-of-the-moment conversation between the him and director James Gunn. Like an extended bonus features clip, the two talk about the movie, the actors and how good everyone is this go-around.

Diesel has always struck me as an emotional guy, what with the way he has talked about the FAST AND FURIOUS movies, but the way he and Gunn talk about this movie and the time they had making it seems very…genuine. If the sequel were of a lesser quality to the original I wouldn’t expect them to be talking about it in such a life-affirming way. They seem at such peace with the way it’s turning out that if a bus crashed into the room they could slip into the afterlife with ease knowing they made this movie.

We won’t know if this was a legit or an over-the-top reaction to the flick until we see it on May 5 of next year, but either way, I can feel myself getting a little Diesel-esque wave of emotions too. Oh, here come the waterworks! We’re sharing a moment!

The Guardians will return in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 starring Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista,  Michael Rooker and a bunch of other people on May 5, 2017.
