Watch Ron Howard direct an SNL Presidential Reunion

Holy shit! There are reunions, and there are reunions, and this is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time. Funny or Die has grown into quite a comedy powerhouse, as it managed to assemble all of SNL’s past presidents for one reunion directed by Ron Howard, to promote a message of consumer protection.

Everyone’s back. There’s the new era of Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph as Barack and the first lady, there’s Will Ferrell’s Bush, Darrell Hammond’s Clinton. Dana Carvey, Chevy Chase and yes, that’s Dan Akroyd show up as Presidents Bush Sr, Ford and Carter respectively. Finally, there’s a surprise guest in the form of Jim Carrey’s big-balled Ronald Reagan, who shows up since the real SNL Reagan was played by the late, great Phil Hartman.

I won’t comment on the politics, but everyone should be able to appreciate this as being pretty damn funny, regardless of whether or not you love credit card companies. After you’ve watched it below, head here to see a behind the scenes of the reunion shoot.
