OUR PICKS FOR November 26th - December 2nd

Wanna watch something....with the best title ever?

THE TRUTH ABOUT KILLER ROBOTS (Premieres November 26th on HBO)HBO has a long history of producing brilliant documentaries, but this one may be their crowning achievement based on the title alone. Sure, once you see the trailer you will realize the title is a bit misleading, but it still looks like a fascinating dive into the exponentially growing field of robotics. While science fiction may still make us cautious of artificial intelligence, this documentary may help ease that anxiety.

Wanna watch something....for comedy and education?

ADAM RUINS EVERYTHING (Premieres November 27th on truTV) - This show began as a series on CollegeHumor.com and has since turned into my favorite funny learning show since Alton Brown's Good Eats. You get a good dose of learning mixed into a pretty funny sitcom. Believe it or not, but this show has managed to include a storyline for the fictional host that is actually pretty entertaining.

Wanna watch something....for fans of travelogues?

CONAN IN JAPAN (Premieres November 28th on TBS) - Conan O'Brien is currently retooling his talk show and will return with a new format. But, to tide us over, he will be delivering one of his popular specials that finds him interacting with people in other countries. This time, it will be in Japan. You can usually find these clips and things online but the specials are always a nice escape from a long work day.

Wanna watch something....with beards and swords?

VIKINGS (Premieres November 28th on History)I tried watching this series over the first season but never quite got hooked. Now in it's fifth season with a different lead than they started with, the show somehow seems to actually be gaining momentum and looks fresher than it did four years ago. With Jonathan Rhys-Meyers taking a bigger role in the new season, this could be a great chance to jump into the fray.

Wanna watch something....animated with an adult edge?

F IS FOR FAMILY (Premieres November 30th on Netflix) - Bill Burr is one of my favorite comedians and his animated series is definitely an underseen gem. Entering it's third season, F is for Family is a great series for fans of Bob's Burgers. Be warned, Burr's adult humor is definitely on display in this series which doesn't show any limits thanks to airing on Netflix.

Wanna watch something....thrilling and retro?

BERLIN STATION (Premieres December 2nd on Epix) - This is a series I did not get into until after watching ATOMIC BLONDE. In hindsight, this is a series I should have been telling people about for years as it is really damn good. Somewhat similar to Homeland, this series boasts a great cast led by Richard Armitage. Also featuring Richard Jenkins, Ashley Judd, Keke Palmer, Leland Orser and more, this is a series that is probably not going to win a ton of awards or get major recognition but really should be buzzed about a lot more.

Wanna watch something....from the author of GAME OF THRONES?

NIGHTFLYERS (Premieres December 2nd on SYFY) - While we all wait for the final season of Game of Thrones, author George R.R. Martin has another of his novels adapted and could not be more different. Set in space, this is a horror/science fiction hybrid that may be the best quality series that SYFY has delivered yet. The trailer is haunting and features Gretchen Mol as the hottest space heroine since Sigourney Weaver. I cannot wait to check this out.

Wanna watch something....with bewbs?

THE VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW HOLIDAY SPECIAL (Premieres December 2nd on ABC) - Well, there is a ton of stuff coming on TV in the next few weeks, but if you just want to throw a few hours away looking at sexy models in skimpy outfits, I won't stop you.
