The Wretched, How to Build a Girl, Blu-ray

I'm not going to dance around it, folks. Not being able to go to the movies sucks. Like you, I miss the smell of fresh, buttery popcorn, the thrill of well-programmed D-Box seating, and the sight of seeing my favorite actors up on the big screen. While I'm sure that we'll get back to the good old days sooner or later, it's nice to know that movies are still hitting the shelves every Tuesday, and I'm here to tell you about what's on the menu for this week's releases.

First up is the box office redefining horror film THE WRETCHED. Directed and written by Brett and Drew T. Pierce, this film tells the terrifying tale of a defiant teenage boy, struggling with his parents' imminent divorce, who faces off with a thousand-year-old witch, who is living beneath the skin of and posing as the woman next door.

Also on offer is director Coky Giedroyc's HOW TO BUILD A GIRL, starring BOOKSMART's Beanie Feldstein. In the film, a teenager living with her working-class family on a council estate in Wolverhampton, England, grows up to become a popular but conflicted music journalist.

Next, we have director Nisha Ganatra's musical drama THE HIGH NOTE hitting the home release scene. Written by Flora Greeson, THE HIGH NOTE STARS Dakota Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. in a film that centers on a superstar singer and her overworked personal assistant, who are presented with a choice that could alter the course of their respective careers. Dun dun dunnn!

If foreign comedies are your bag, you might want to check out LUCKY GRANDMA. Directed and co-written by Sasie Sealy, LUCKY GRANDMA is set in New York City's Chinatown, where an ornery, chain-smoking Chinese grandma goes all in at the casino, landing herself on the wrong side of luck – and in the middle of a gang war. A surly, chain-smoking grandmother with a gambling addiction, you say? I'm all in!

Other releases set to hit shelves include BLACKLIST: THE COMPLETE SEVENTH SEASON, THE QUEST, VALLEY OF THE GODS, CRY FREEDOM, OZONE, and more!
