Who is Max Steel?

When I was a kid (I still kind of am) I played with Barbie dolls and Easy-Bake Ovens. Perhaps that’s why my face spent most of its time shoved into lockers. If I had spent my time playing with action figures like Max Steel, my fate may have been different. Alas. Paramount and uber-producer Joe Roth are turning the Max Steel action figure into a major motion picture, looking to capitalize on the recent trend of toys-turned-movies like the TRANSFORMERS series and the upcoming G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA. Max Steel is a 19-year-old extreme sports addict recruited by a top secret agency after an accident infects his body with nanobots, making him superhuman. Mattel introduced the character in the U.S. in 1999 as an action figure, and soon after in an animated series that ran from 2000-2002. A director and screenwriter are still needed. Got a resume?
