Who’s the latest to join the Avengers cast: YOU!

Think you’ve got what it takes to star in one of the biggest superhero films of all time? Think you can hold your own next to Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Nick Fury? Well you’re in luck. No need to hop on the casting couch with Joss Whedon, we’ve got your opportunity to appear in THE AVENGERS right here!

As you may have heard, filming on THE AVENGERS is set to begin this April in New Mexico and the New Mexico Film Commission is holding their 2011 Film and Media Day in Sante Fe. Among the attendees will be the casting director for THE AVENGERS who will be looking for extras to fill up the scene. They’ll even be offering an “Extras 101” class that will teach “everything from the basics & set etiquette to how to become a stand in and photo double for leading actors.”

It’s free to attend and could lead to you sharing a spot at the craft services table with Scarlett Johansson. OK, probably not but just getting to be on set of THE AVENGERS would be a pretty cool experience (and should you make it, we’d love to hear your story).
