DADDY’S HOME follows a mild-mannered radio executive who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids. Synopsis aside, it's Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg back in a comedy together. Given their chemistry in THE OTHER GUYS, what more do you need? A new trailer? You got it!
What is it with using weird special effects for slapstick comedy? It rarely works! Still, the interactions between Ferrell and Wahlberg look decent, so I can't NOT see this. I'm not saying a theater screening is in order, but it may be worth a viewing down the road. My guess is that they're aiming for more family-oriented "fun", so for those of you keeping an eye out for an R-rating, I wouldn't hold your breath.
DADDY'S HOME opens in theaters on December 25, 2015.
