Will Lena Headey play the lead villain in Judge Dredd?

Are you ready for JUDGE DREDD? Or just plain DREDD as it is called now.

The first shot of Karl Urban as Dredd wasn’t so bad. I think a lot of people are fans of the comic version of Dredd. Plus with everyone remaking everything, the spirit of the average moviegoer has sunk a little.

Perhaps a little Lena Heady in the film will do the trick. A fansite called Judge Dredd Movie News reports that Heady, who you have seen in 300 and THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, will be taking on the role of lead villain Ma-Ma. Real name Madeline Madrigal, is the gang head who sends her cronies after Dredd when he and Cadet Cassandra Anderson bust one of her clan members.

Synopsis:

“DREDD takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary. The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and the frenetic vision of director Peter Travis bring DREDD to life as a futuristic neo-noir action film that returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra’s revered comic strip.”
