Will we see Doombots in Josh Trank’s The Fantastic Four?

A couple of days ago we learned Toby Kebbell will be playing Doctor Doom in Josh Trank's THE FANTASTIC FOUR, and Nerdist believes the villain will have some help battling the superhero team in the reboot. Sources have told the site, "Doombots will definitely be in the film, in the form of drones that the good doctor controls telekinetically."

Doombots are exactly what they sound like: robot replicas of Doctor Doom, created by the villain for certain situations. Usually those instances have been when Doom doesn't think he'll come out on top during a fight. There are two types of Doombots (fighting and diplomatic), and they also have remote shut offs, just in case one of the bots decides to take on the real Doom.

It would make sense to bring Doombots to the big screen with the reboot since they didn't appear in the other Fantastic Four movies, and it would give the team someone/something else to clash with besides Doctor Doom. Before you get too excited about Doombots though, remember this is technically a rumor at this point. But I think it's very likely we will see Doombots in THE FANTASTIC FOUR.

Josh Trank's THE FANTASTIC FOUR starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, and Toby Kebbell will be released on June 19th, 2015, and the sequel is scheduled to open on July 14th, 2017.
