X-Men First Class deets

A while back former JoBlo.com writer Ben Barna broke the scoop that "The OC" creator Josh Schwartz was working on a new X-MEN film titled X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. It presumed to highlight some younger mutants but we weren't really sure what time period this would take place in and which mutants it would highlight. Well now we know. Producer Lauren Shuler Donner was interviewed on the Fox Movie Channel and was asked about the movie. She said, "It is the first class of Xavier's school, way back when, so it's young Scott, young Jean, young Beast and that'll be really fun."

So basically it'll be a film set in the grunge days of the early 90s when the first group of mutants show up at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Cyclops will be wearing flannel and Jean Gray will be listening to Velocity Girl on her Walkman. The major problem with this "prequel" idea is that they don't have many adult mutants to work with. They took a good deal of the X-Men and made them kids in the X-MEN movies so who's left besides Cyclops, Jean Gray, Beast and Storm? Iceman, Rogue, Angel, Shadowcat and Collosus were all teens in the X-MEN trilogy.

Who else is left? Gambit, Emma Frost and Nightcrawler are out. As is Cable (being the future son of Cyclops and all). I guess Forge could be included as could Bishop. Cannonball? Banshee? Havoc? Let me know if there's anyone I could be missing...

Extra Tidbit: Had Fox planned this out from the get-go, like how Marvel is mapping out the AVENGERS films, this could have been awesome instead of the giant clusterfuck it's turning out to be.
