You can own The Dude’s iconic sweater from The Big Lebowski

Back in 1998 when prepping THE BIG LEBOWSKI, the film’s costume designer Mary Zophres found a vintage cowichan sweater in Oregon that was perfect for the part of Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski. Three copies of the sweater were made for shooting but according to reports, Jeff Bridges preferred the original and wore it almost exclusively on set. And now the chance to wear and own that iconic sweater, sure to still be stained with some White Russian spills, is here.

The original sweater is being auctioned off this weekend as part of a large Hollywood memorabilia sale. The sweater is expected to fetch between $4,000 and $6,000; a surprisingly low price for such a memorable costume.

The specific Lebowski auction will take place on Sunday, May 15th with the auction kicking off at 11am PST. You can place bids online so you don’t even need to be in Beverly Hills to win this bad boy.
